Natural selection, and stupidity

Why did Natural Selection permit the trait of stupidity to evolve and get fixed exclusively in homo sapiens? Why has science not invented a genus called homo-stupidus? Maybe its because science cannot measure stupidity, but when someone tells me that nothing has creative and causal powers, i have a clear indication and measure what it is. If Natural selection is the only drive of survival of the fittest, and free will does not exist, why has evolution not produced humans which only take decisions, that favor the human species? In that case, decisions of war, suicide, and self-destruction of any sort should be wiped out right in the beginning, and only social behavior that promotes well-being, kindness, love, and justice would be favored and passed on through cell - cognition, and intelligence. We would be living now in a society of peace and love, and progressing to wealth and well-being of all sort of kind. What i see, is the contrary.....
