Propaganda governs the world

Dr. Noam Chomsky documents that major thought control happens all over the world, but esp. in Britain and America. He's talking about politics, but it's also true of Darwinism and a variety of other topics as well as much research has documented. He says:
"It's very striking that the contemporary systems of thought control, which are highly developed and leaders talk all about it, they come from England and the United States. So the British Ministry of Information...that's from the first world war, it was aimed primarily to convert a pacifist population into raving anti-German fanatics. And it worked. And it impressed people. It impressed the business world. That's the origins of the modern public relations industry. It impressed American intellectuals, who developed the conception of the manufacture of consent, control of thought. It impressed Hitler who blamed the German defeat on superior Anglo/American propaganda and vowed that next time Germany would be prepared. It has led in England and the United States...to huge industries devoted to the control of thought and attitudes because you cannot control people by force.
Intellectuals are mostly servants of power...take the first world war. On all sides, intellectuals were extremely enthusiastic about the war. There were a few dissenters...and the best known of them ended up in jail...but most intellectuals were enthusiastic about their own country and that's common."

Darwinism was intentionally planned as a deception long, long ago...and it's a wonderful tool in the hands of government and business to make people easier to manipulate and deceive. That's it's main purpose.

Edward Bernay, the father of propaganda, wrote that manipulation was essential in democratic societies, but that few are aware of vast manipulation by corporations:
"The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of." Edward Bernays, Propaganda, p. 9

A good introduction to how big businesses have been heavily involved in using propaganda to manipulate and control people is the the BBC documentary, "The Century of the Self"

It traces the changes in how the governing elite have changed their way of managing society. In the past, there was more of an emphasis by government and business on rational thought and focusing on the needs of society and educating people to be moral and a constructive part of a community. But in recent decades, esp. since the time of Reagan, Clinton, John Major however, politics and business have used psychological techniques to figure out human desires and then used media to modify and create desires in the minds of the masses. These created desires of course usually align very well with the goals of the business to make much higher profits and gain more power and control over more and more people.

Government politics on both sides now cooperate with business to mostly appeal to the irrational and selfish impulses that people naturally have.

Make sure to see the video of Bernay at the end of the above.

But these interests of a duped consumer population often don't make any real difference in life long term and don't deal with many of the serious issues that our societies have, such as poverty, families breaking up, drug use, loneliness, lack of purpose, injustices, etc.

Media promotes harmful ideas though both liberal and conservative sides..and Darwinism is a great tool to make most people just blindly follow whatever the secular media, business, government, and scientists tell them...regardless of whether it matches the best science or not. This problem is rampant all over the world and both Darwinism and atheism rob most people of any ability to think critically about the propaganda they are fed on a daily basis...esp. the propaganda that materialism and self should be their main or only concern, an idea that causes harm and death to millions EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

Read what the atheist Bertrand Russell wrote about how they would use psychology to brainwash the masses, much easier to do that to atheists who have no higher authority than governments and media that are largely controlled by corporations:

"I think the subject which will be of the most importance politically is mass psychology....Its importance has been enormously increased by the growth of modern methods of propaganda. Of these the most influential one is what is called "education." Religion plays a part, though a diminishing one; the press, the cinema, and the radio play an increasing part...What is essential in mass psychology is the art of persuasion....What went wrong formerly was that people had read in books that man is a rational animal, and framed their arguments on this hypothesis. we now know that limelight and a brass band do more to persuade than can be done by the most elegant train of syllogisms. It may be hoped that in time anybody will be able to persuade anybody of anything if he can catch the patient young and is provided by the State with money and equipment...Although this science will be diligently studied, it will be rigidly confined to the governing class. The populace will not be allowed to know how its convictions were generated....When the technique has been perfected, every government that has been in charge of education for a generation will be able to control its subjects securely without the need of armies or policemen. As yet there is only one country which has succeeded in creating this politician's paradise." P. 243 and 244.
